Verrucae treatment - £40

cryotherapy
up to 30 mins

Liquid nitrogen is used to freeze and kill the verruca tissue triggering an immunological response.

Please note: depending on the size, number and depth of verrucae being treated, follow up sessions are most likely required to ensure effective resolution.

Further information will be provided on the day of your appointment.

60% salicylic acid
up to 30 mins

The verruca is debrided (cut back) and healthy tissue is masked to prevent being damaged by the acid.

The area is then secured/dressed with tape and should be kept in situ and dry for 5 days before being removed.

There is no need for the area to be neutralised as the acid is self limiting and will have stopped working.

Should the area become painful prior to the five days then the dressing should be removed and soaked in warm water and bicarbonate of soda for up to 5 minutes.

The acid treatment may need to be repeated depending on size, strain of virus and how long the site has been left untreated; the more frequently it is repeated the better the chance it has of working.

Ideally the treatment should be repeated every week, with a maximum interval of 3 weeks providing the verruca is treated at home with an over the counter remedy.

Please note: depending on the size, number and depth of verrucae being treated, follow up sessions are most likely required to ensure effective resolution.
